OVIDIUS provides Exercise Physiology, Strength and Conditioning, Sport Science and Injury Rehabilitation services, all with the aim of improving or restoring function and performance. 

​​​

OVIDIUS was founded on the principle that exercise; movement, balance, coordination, speed, strength and power, is fundamental to improving performance, functionality, and longevity. 

​

Using an evidence-based framework, we deliver movement and strength based programs to maximise physical potential and longevity. 

 

Our approach is derived from elite sporting environments and clinical practices, and comes first hand after working at the highest levels of sport, and with some of the best practitioners around the world.

 

Our goal is to extend our experiences and knowledge of best practice and elite level care, and make it available to everyone.

01. ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT

 

Athleticism is a matching defining quality in sport, and games are won and lost with moments of Speed, Power and ReactionWe've worked at the highest levels of elite sport, and know what it takes to not only reach the top, but perform week in and week out. More importantly, we know how to maximise an athletes physical potential to get them there.

We offer a range of services aimed at enhancing Athleticism.

  • Athletic Profiling - Sport science testing to identify strengths, weaknesses and injury risk

  • Athletic Development Program - Individualised training to improve on field success

  • Speed and Conditioning Program - Training targeting mechanics and capacity

  • Athlete Recovery -

Our programs are individualised to meet the needs of each athlete, are designed around an evidence based framework, and target areas identified in out athletic testing.  Our programs encompass Movement, Coordination, Balance, Strength, Speed, Power and Endurance.

02. FITNESS & FUNCTION

 

We believe that it's important to keep moving, keep fit, stay active and stay healthy. 

Its crucial to maintain a level of function and capacity as we age, and exercise is arguably the greatest tool to maintain health whilst also improving longevity. ​​

​

Our focus is on the ability to move well, to ensure your body can meet the demands

of everyday life, while also future proofing it for years to come. 

​

Services we offer around Fitness & Function include:

  • Health & Performance Check Up - Health and Function screening specifically looking at body systems and capacity, as well as health risks, performed by and Allied Health Practitioner

  • Fitness & Function Training Program - Mens and Womens Group Training targeting improved overall health and wellbeing, and longevity

  • 1-to-1 Coaching - Private coaching to provide the next level of care and focus

The ultimate goal is to enhance functional capacity so that it doesn't become a limiting factor to what you can do or achieve. All services are specifically targeted to each individual to, and aim to improve strength and conditioning in order to move better and feel better.

INJURY

03. INJURY REHABILITATION

 

The goal of any injury rehabilitation program should not only be to restore function,

but also to enhance the capacity of the injury site, and the body as whole, beyond

what it was before the injury occurred. This not only increases the probability the of

a successful rehabilitation, but reduces the likelihood of injury in the future.

​

Whether an injury is acute or chronic, niggling or complex, we employ the same knowledge, methodology, and processes utilised in a professional sport setting. 

​​​​

Services we offer around Injury Rehabilitation include:

  • Pre-Injury Screening - Objective assessment of injury risk

  • Acute Injury Management - Immediate post injury care and guidance on injury rehabilitation 

  • Injury Rehabilitation - Rehab under the care of an allied health practitioner

​

We believe that everyone should have access to the best level of care, and be able to overcome their injury in a timely manner with confidence in returning to their sport

or pre-injury activity.
